Hi there! Welcome to my online journal where I love to discuss everything from my favorite wedding venues, to motherhood, and adventures in parenting. I hope you find it helpful!

Hi, I'm Amy.

Why Collections?

You might’ve noticed a recent change in the structure of my pricing and what I offer to my clients. Why have I made this change and what does it mean to you? I wanted to write a quick blog to address all of these questions and show you why I have decided to shift the perception of value and go a little against the grain of other local photographers.

What is a “Collection”?

A collection is a package of both digital and physical prints. Some photographers like to sell their services as an “all-inclusive” bundle. This means clients pay a flat rate and get all of the edited images taken in their session. This was also formerly known as a “shoot and burn” photographer when images were delivered via a CD. Current rates for all-inclusive local photographers range from $500-$1200 for a 1-hour session. Collections, however, can be digital, prints only, or both. I have decided to go with both so each client will receive their favorite digital images AND a print credit to get physical prints included in their purchase.

What is an Artwork Credit?

An Artwork Credit is just how it sounds, a credit of a certain dollar amount to purchase artwork in the gallery shop. Each collection has a dollar credit to spend in the shop ranging from $100-$400. Canvas prints, lay-flat photo albums, Fine Art prints, holiday cards, and calendars are just a handful of items that can be purchased. Items can easily be bought online straight from the gallery and shipped to you so there is no need for an in-person meeting or image review. Clients are able to place an order for as little or as much as they want. Currently, artwork credits are non-transferable and are complimentary so you can take it or leave it!

Why do you need physical prints or artwork?

There is something so priceless about holding beautiful about holding actual prints of your little ones hugging and laughing together or your spouse cradling their brand new baby in their arms. It brings you back to that moment. The emotion and feeling that passes so quickly and a photograph has a way of keeping it in your heart and mind forever. I have found that most of us get beautiful professional pictures taken and then they live and die on our phones, laptops, or computers. Yes, we might share a few on our social media platform but that is it! I can’t tell you how many times my own children love looking through the albums of when they were a baby. It is always my #1 goal to continue to provide the absolute BEST for my clients and I think you are going to see why I decided on this change.

Collections are built just for you.

I value your time and know photo sessions are a luxury for most which is why I have built custom collections. While some photographers require a lot upfront, I wanted to make it customizable and accessible. That is why I am offering session fees at a rate of $99 for a quick Mini Session or $195 for a Full Session. From there, you get to choose your collection on your own with what you feel comfortable with. For mini sessions maybe a few images will do the trick but if it is your annual family session, you are probably going to want a larger collection. At this time, I am not offering a-la-carte digital images. My main goal is to hold your images in your hands, display them for all to enjoy, and cherish for years to come.

I am sure you are going to love the items in the shop and see the true value behind enjoying your images in a new way. If you want to learn more about family sessions visit my webpage here or mini sessions that have a few spots remaining here. Until next time!
